Renovations at 100 Arthur St.

We have some BIG news!

Have you ever visited Artspace to take in art, only to be denied the opportunity due to a broken elevator or locked floors?

Well, you are NOT alone, as the aging systems at Artspace have prevented many people from using the building as intended. But all that ends now!

Thanks to the generous support of the Winnipeg Foundation and their Major Capital Grant Program, Artspace is embarking on some integral infrastructural improvements, aimed at bettering accessibility and safety at 100 Arthur St. This couldn’t be happening at a better time, as Artspace approaches its 40^th birthday, and the Gault building celebrates its 126^th.

Elevator repairs and security upgrades are first on the docket for Fall 2026, with larger projects including washroom renovations and tenant space improvements set to begin in Spring 2027.

We are working hard to raise additional funds to see these projects through, including a full-building 40^th Birthday fundraiser taking place on Friday, November 6^th 2026 (save the date!).

We also recognize that although this work is integral for the future of Artspace, it will be disruptive to the 25 tenant organizations, 12 studio renters and thousands of art patrons that visit 100 Arthur on the regular. For this reason, we will be posting important accessibility updates and disruption schedules on our website as needed. Please refer to the Disruption Announcements below to plan your visit.
