An Artspace membership is $25/year, and is available to organizations who are operating in or affiliated with the arts sector in Manitoba.
Tenant organizations of Artspace are required to hold an Artspace membership.
Individuals are not permitted to hold memberships, but may use certain offerings ( such as the Boardroom), at a set rental rate. Inquire with Artspace staff at firstname.lastname@example.org about membership eligibility or booking inquiries.
The following offerings are available to all member organizations to use. Some services operate based on a cost recovery basis, and are billed back to members on a monthly basis.
Boardroom – Rm 424 – The Artspace Boardroom, located on the 4th floor, is available for all members to book free of charge. The room is also available to non-members to rent. For booking inquiries, please contact email@example.com
The boardroom has a large conference table that can be broken up and reconfigured to suit booking needs. It also includes 10 office chairs, 40 stacking chairs, a projector with an HDMI hook up, free WIFI, a large blackboard and chalk and a kitchenette (including microwave, kettle, sink, coffee maker, toaster, various serveware and dishes, a fridge and freezer. Items such as sugar, coffee filters, tea bags etc are not included).
This offering is booked through a shared google calendar, OR, Artspace Staff is happy to book the room for you.
Copier/Scanner/Fax – Rm 426 – Our commercial Cannon Copier is available for use to all members. Artspace staff set up new members with an account for the machine upon request, and can run new members through some of the machines functions. Rm 426 is open during business hours. If you require access to the room outside of business hours, contact Artspace staff.
Artspace bills back members per use of this offering at the following rates: B/W $0.10, Color $0.30, Scan $1.00, Fax $2.00.
Postage Machine – Rm 426 – Our FP Postage Machine makes it easy to send lettermail domestic and internationally. The machine has a stamp function, can print labels if mailing larger than lettermail, has a scale, and even an envelope sealing function.
The machine is available for use to all members. Artspace staff set up new members with an account for the machine and give a demo on how the machine operates upon request. Rm 426 is open during business hours. If you require access to the room outside of business hours, contact Artspace staff.
Artspace bills back members per use of this offering at the following rates: $1.15 standard lettermail, prices increase depending on weight and destination. Cost typically increases annually on January 1st based on rates set by Canada Post.
Battery, ink cartridge and writing utensil recycling – Rm 426 – Drop off anytime! Rm 426 is open during business hours. If you require access to the room outside of business hours, contact Artspace staff. If you have a large amount to drop off, please let Artspace staff know in advance.
Paper Shredder – Rm 426 – Available for use anytime! Rm 426 is open during business hours. If you require access to the room outside of business hours, contact Artspace staff.
Lobby TV – Artspace Lobby – Member orgs are invited to share MP4 files with Artspace staff to be displayed on rotation via the Lobby TV. The TV is often used to promote upcoming events or screenings, or even play commercials advertising projects connected to Artspace Member orgs. Materials for Purchase – Rm 425 – Artspace offers items for purchase on a cost recovery basis. Those items are: printer paper, hand sanitizer, building access cards. Contact email@example.com if you wish to purchase any of the items listed.
Flu Clinic – Every Fall in the Artspace Boardroom – All employees or volunteers of member orgs are invited to sign up for the annual flu clinic, hosted by the Exchange District Pharmacy. The Pharmacy sets up on a weekday lunch hour in the Artspace Boardroom, and offers 3 minute appointments for individuals to receive their flu shots. A sign-up form and appointment information is distributed to members at least 6 weeks in advance of the clinic date.
Shredding – Every Spring – All member orgs are invited to sign up for annual, shared, confidential shredding services every spring at Artspace. Members are invited to participate at least 6 weeks in advance of the shredding date, where they will also receive information about requirements and cost per copy box. The service is then billed back to members.
E-Waste recycling – Every Summer – All members orgs are invited to drop off e-waste recycling every summer at Artspace to be recycled. Members are invited to participate at least 6 weeks in advance of the recycling date, where they will also receive information about accepted items and other details.
