Accounting Associate – Arts Management Program

Purpose of the Job
The Accounting Associate is charged with delivering accounting and bookkeeping services to a variety of small to medium sized Manitoba art organizations, members of the Arts Management Program. Furthermore, as a member of a small team, the Accounting Associate will also participate in the general administrative duties of the Artspace office and of our member services.
Skills/Characteristics
The Accounting Associate is a dynamic bookkeeping professional with general administration abilities. They have excellent problem solving skills, are able to work independently and in a team environment; and are able to self-direct and take direction. The Accounting Associate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and is able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple files and deadlines concurrently. They have good computer skills and are able to work effectively with standard office software; experience with QuickBooks, Sage and Excel is an asset. The Accounting Associate will have great people skills that will inspire confidence from a variety of stakeholders. Ability to work with clients who have French as an operational language is also an asset.
Details
Full time (37.5h a week) permanent position.
Salary range: $33,150 to $37,050 annually.

Place of employment is100 Arthur Street; with some occasional client/member on site visits
